Seller application & marketplace terms

Applying and approval
You must be at least 18 and authorised to represent the business in your application. Supply accurate details and only offer products you may lawfully sell. An application is not automatic approval. We may request business and identity verification through an appropriate private channel before approving access. Approval can be reviewed if circumstances change.
Commercial arrangements
The current fee schedule is displayed below and recorded when a seller applies. Success fees are calculated on the actual product selling price paid, including any product VAT, after discounts and excluding shipping. Riversands fulfilment/storage is optional and attracts the additional published charges once per sale. Payouts are processed once a week after reconciliation of completed orders, returns and disputes. Item refunds adjust earnings; refunds after settlement are reconciled against subsequent amounts due or separately. The monthly subscription shown in the current fee schedule is recorded on approval and on the first day of each following calendar month while approved, without pro-rating. It is reconciled separately from order earnings and is not automatically debited from your bank. The current editable fee schedule is shown below. Changes to fees must be communicated before applying to new orders. A portal balance is not a bank transfer. Contact us to confirm the weekly cut-off and provide settlement details through a private verified channel.
Current seller fees
- Success fee: 5% of the product selling price paid, including product VAT, after discounts and excluding shipping.
- Optional Riversands fulfilment/storage: 7% extra per sale, plus R0.00 per fulfilled unit.
- Fixed seller order fee: R0.00 per order containing that seller’s products.
- Monthly account fee: R100.00. A monthly account charge is recorded on approval and at the start of each following calendar month while approved, with no pro-rating. It is settled separately and is not automatically debited from your bank or deducted from order earnings.
- Payouts: weekly, after reconciliation of completed orders and refunds. Fees are the amounts deducted; no additional fee VAT is added by this plugin.
Fee changes apply to new orders after notification; order fee snapshots remain unchanged. Specific return/removal charges must be agreed separately; no automatic penalties are configured.
Product standards and review
Describe the exact product, condition, defects, included accessories, price, available stock, packed weight and dimensions. Use images and copy you have rights to use. Products and edits from approved sellers publish automatically. StockDrop may review or remove listings that breach these terms. Do not list counterfeit, stolen, unlawful or unsafe goods. Regulated goods require prior express approval and the required licences; the portal is not permission to sell them.
Orders, delivery and returns
Keep stock accurate and communicate problems promptly. Follow the fulfilment arrangement agreed with StockDrop. StockDrop coordinates customer support, courier arrangements and refunds. Sellers must cooperate with lawful cancellation, return, warranty and product-safety obligations. Any allocation of delivery costs, commission or refund adjustments is subject to the agreed seller arrangement and applicable law.
Customer information
Use information supplied for an order only for that order, delivery, support or a legal obligation. Do not add customers to marketing lists or disclose their details without a lawful basis. Keep account access private and notify StockDrop of suspected compromise.
Suspension and exit
StockDrop may suspend listings or purchases while investigating fraud, inaccurate stock, unsafe products or policy breaches. Contact us to request review or closure. Closing a seller account does not remove outstanding fulfilment, refund, record-retention or settlement responsibilities.
Platform and source
SellerGrid operates the StockDrop marketplace and its custom software. Seller product content remains subject to the seller’s rights; the seller permits StockDrop to display it for listing, marketing that listing and fulfilling orders. No ownership of the seller’s business is transferred.
